SuperGT GTR
Suzuka (Oct. 30, 2007) - NISSAN GT-R race car for the GT500 class of Japan’s SUPER GT series underwent a shakedown at the renowned Suzuka Circuit from October 29 – 30 supervised by NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd.). The vehicle is scheduled to debut in the series next year. The 2-day test, conducted under sunny skies, went smoothly with NISMO’s regular drivers, Satoshi Motoyama, Michael Krumm and Tsugio Matsuda, behind the wheel. The test was designed to obtain important data for the race car’s further development.
Yoshitaka Iijima, NISMO team director for SUPER GT, said: “The test went well without any problems. We obtained positive feedback on the car’s potential from the drivers. We are aware of the NISSAN GT-R popularity and racing heritage. We will make our best effort to win the championship next year.”

Cut GTR...
Just as I was recovering from the excitement of the new R35 Nissan GTR, I found these pics on Kumiko's Blog!,for those who dont know, Kumiko is from 'JDM Option' Japan and is a HUGE GTR fan, racing her own R32 GTR all the time! The cut in half GTR, simply...AWSOME!
Amazing photo...Tokyo Motor Show...
It all kicked off in Chiba Ken's Makuhari Messe for the start of the 40th Tokyo Motor Show! It seems the main theme of this years show is Kawai 'Cute' cars, such as the Nissan Pivo, aimed at women drivers, and the Honda Puyo, well as the name suggests in Nihongo, a soft car, with silicone covered metal, for a soft, smooth, bubble touch! Interesting! Toyota and Mazda focused more on the 'Green' side of things with their Hydro-electric cars and even Solar powered Greenhouse style concepts!
Lexus, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Nissan however focused on bringing Japan back to the number one spot of Super Car status, with some new petrol guzzling cars! The new Lexus IS F, Lancer EVO X, and WRX Impreza were all making a strong appearance, but Nissan's GTR stole the show for sure! Check it out...here!
Oh and it goes pretty well too, check out the 7.38 Nurburgring Lap!

It's Official...
Well almost...The new GTR will Officially be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show next week, but well here are indeed the official shots...The GT-R will get a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces approximately 450 horsepower as standard.
Nissan says the GT-R will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, finish the quarter-mile in 11.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 192 mph. All that's left to say is...let the tuning begin!
