Nissan, Yokohama...

After my previous visits to the Nissan Headquarters and Showroom (click HERE and HERE)

I stopped by again recently when back in Yokohama. It's always good to see what's new!

Of course the main attraction remains the R35 GTR... New V-Spec Edition!

It's certainly stunning with the added extras, Interior wasn't my taste though..

Nissan Headquarters is always worth a look to check out the latest models up close!

I always liked the Nissan Cube, I think for my new daily driver, it's a contender!

Or the way things are going, will it be the new 'Eco-Hybrid' Nissan LEAF?

Something Different...

The thing I love about Tokyo, you just never know what you will see driving...

Something different from JDM to drive around the City in?... Don't mind if I do!

The Dark...

Longer, Dark nights are here, Winter is around the corner. I'm looking forward to it though, and Christmas time. It's going to be busy, but the New Year will be VERY exciting...

Different Strokes...

After having a chat with my friend, we had some interesting discussions. I like all levels of Tuning of course. For the track, Fully tuned, stripped interior, lightweight panels, etc, But I also like Street Legal, simple, mild tuning, with full interior, and some extras added.

So what do you prefer? or a mixture of both?

Extreme level of Tuning such as the Tsukuba Time Attack Auto Select GTR

Or a more Street Legal style, such as this Nismo Tuned GTR? Hmm Decisions...

Clean and Fresh...

Just started an overhaul of the blog, Well it has been 6 Years afterall...

Remember this?

Remember this stunning Shino Kouba built AE86 Corolla?

I got up close and personal before Nikko Circuit back in 2008..

 

Well, it now resides in Ireland, with owner Adrian Walsh...

 

Not so much has been changed on the outside...

 

But it now boasts a crazy 410bhp SR20 instead of the previous 20v 4AGE

Narita Airport by Night...

Had a great time recently checking out Narita Airport by night...

Who knew you could have such an adventure travelling around the different terminals, riding the buses, trains, and taking photos! So different to be relaxing and enojying things from a different perspective compared to when travelling with the busy crowds!

The last appearance before the definitive model is released at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011. See you in Tokyo Toyota FT86 ;-) It will certianly be very interesting to see what Gazoo Racing (G's Racing), TRD, and other Tuners do for the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2012.

8/6 Day - Fuji Speedway!

Well finally I can release some of the photos from 8/6 Day in Fuji Speedway, Japan last month... So here goes.. Hope you Enjoy!

It was to be an early start for the trip to Fuji Speedway! 8/6 day in Japan wouldn't be the same with an action packed AE86 (Hachi-Roku) Event. We left Tokyo very early to bypass some of the crazy weekend holiday traffic. Arriving at Fuji after 9am we were very lucky to have had a simple trip, when I was receiving messages from friends stuck in traffic for 2-3 hours and just turning back. Crazy Tokyo traffic!

On arrival at Fuji we automatically got the VIP Treatment around the circuit. Anyone who knows Fuji Speedway knows it's just HUGE, so after making our way up to the East we had breakfast and let the day take shape. Within no time the East side of Fuji Speedway had been taken over by 86's...It really was an amazing sight to be seen!

The event ('86 Style) featured the best AE86's, Open chat with Keiichi Tsuchiya and other drivers/tuners, aswell as Demo runs, Parage laps, Show Display and Drift arena. Toyota and Gazoo Racing (Toyota G's) brought out the new FT86 Concept II for everyone to check out and make improvements with feedback. We did plenty of features and interviews throughout the day, and worked VERY closely with G's and Toyota on the feedback for the FT86, so if you have any other genuine suggestions for the FT86, please let me know!

Sendai Earthquake...We're OK...

Just a quick post, I know I haven't been blogging so much! We're ok, Miki and Me are in Ireland luckily, before returning back to Japan. All friends and family are safe and well, but the damage to the country is BIG...Disruption, Tsunami, roads and homes destroyed, and many lives lost. Say a prayer for everyone...R.I.P, Stay safe everyone!
