Nagatoro Trip...

Every now and then, especially in Japan, we need to escape. Coming from the 'Emerald Isle', I'm partial to a little bit of 'Green' now and then. Being in Tokyo can take it's toll and we really need to escape somewhere, relax and recharge, so what do we do?

Jump on one of the many trains, this time to Nagatoro, Chichibu, Japan!

So why Nagatoro? Well for me, it's one of the most beautiful and relaxing places in Japan!
After a short walk from the station, you can sample many local delicacies along the way...

...To HERE... This is the reason we come to Nagatoro. Such a STUNNING setting!

No crowded trains, no signs, busy streets/crossings, shops etc, just Nature as it was intended!

Every now and then I think it's VERY important to take time out, to help us recharge!

Since there's a HUGE Toyota following, this was great to see, and long anticipated!

I'm REALLY glad to see this car touch down in Ireland and get the credit it deserves...

Having followed and been involved with the '86' in Japan for so long, it is rewarding!

...and I have to say, It looks right at home on Irish soil, I'm sure it's going to be a HIT!

But of course, it will have to work alongside it's older brother, which has a HUGE following...

Some sad news this week, that the 'Nissan Skyline Saga' continues in America...

This time with the 'Big Bird' R33 Skyline..famous from the 'Fast and the Furious' movie...

Unforunately I can't exactly say what I REALLY want to say about the U.S Government's handling of this strange and bazaar 'Skyline History' in America. The only thing I will say is to search the Internet and Forums to find out exactly what I'm talking about. Many of us in the Car Industry have known the story for years now, but surprisingly MANY of you do not.

The ending is simple...Skyline, Complications, Illegal, CRUSHED...

'Big Bird' R33, owned by Justin Beno is scheduled for CRUSHING Today!

The whole situation makes me VERY angry and sad for genuine owners/enthusiasts...

It could all have been handled so much better than it has been. With more RESPECT!

Will it ever end? I doubt it, the 'Skyline Saga' in America has a way to go yet...Sadly!

Nostalgic Carina GT-TR

I just had to share a scan shot of this Toyota Carina GTR from June's Nostalgic Magazine..

I have always loved the 1980's Carina, and this one is built to perfection, Turbo'd engine, Upgraded Suspension, Brakes, RAYS TE37 wheels etc. It seems everything is 'Nostalgic' recently, Maybe it's soon time for me to buy something even older than the AE86...
