Nakayama Racing AE86

A recent issue of 'G-Works Magazine' here in Japan featured some very special AE86's...

Of course there's many to choose from, but let's look at one I've been following for YEARS!

Built and Driven in the DTCC AE86 Race Series, by Nakayama San of Nakayama Racing!

Spirits of Super Privateer - Nakayama Racing

I remember following Nakayama's San's builds for Years, drawing my Inspiration...

As a Privateer, like many, he has worked so hard to build his AE86 to this Spec for Racing!

When not competing in the DTCC AE86 Race, Nakayama San is tuning/building...

...and when he is, It's usually like this, leading the pack, or pushing hard!

The heart of this beast...Nakayama San is constantly tuning/building it for every race!

Here he is in action, Turn up the Speakers and enjoy the AE86 Racing...

I owe ALOT to Nakayama San, not only for all the Inspiration over the years, but for the many great advice he has always given me when in contact with him in Hokkaido. He is a true AE86 enthusiast and will go out of his way to help others. I even have a little bit of that Nakayama 'Privateer Spirit' under the bonnet of my own AE86 Levin...

You heard it from the man himself...Let the new 86 Legacy begin!

Happy Birthday Tada-San...

Today marks the Official Start and Switch on of the Toyota 86 production...

It's also the Birthday of Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada, the man behind the 86 Team...

Tada-San must be VERY proud to share his Birthday with his baby, Toyota creation...

The parts are flooding out, not just from TRD, but most Tuners now are stepping it up!

Nissan GTR...

Another blog post from the Nissan Headquarters, Yokohama...

Always there is a GTR, but I loved this latest model, in particular the paintwork...

Such a beautiful colour, and topped off by some stunning dry Carbon Fibre pieces!

The interior however does nothing for me...Classy yes, but a little O.T.T for me...

There's ALOT of Girl Drifting (Gal Dori) in Japan, but it never seems to get enough recognition throughout the Internet Blog world, but let's try change that for now!

Nissan H/Q, Yokohama...

When in Yokohama, it's always good to stop by the Nissan Headquarters Showroom...

Following on from my 'LeMans R33 GTR' photo, here is some more photos from the day..

Right away we are greeted by some of the finest Nissan GTR models

This was to celebrate the success of Nissan in the recent years of Motorsport...

It really was great to get up close and personal with these cars I've watched in action...

After a quick coffee and relax, I headed off back down the 'Hall of History'...

Not much had changed there, until I got to the main showroom, including GT5 setup!

The cars that dreams are made of, it really was a great time to stop by Nissan H/Q..

The whole showroom was aimed at Motorsport, and was all very 'Gran Turismo'..

I'm sure you are all familiar with these cars in some way or form...Calsonic GTR

If you haven't seen it in action, I'm sure you have all used it on PS3 Gran Turismo...

One of the favourites for me, I last seen at Fuji Nismo Festival... Pennzoil R33

It really was an enjoyable day, and probably my best trip to Nissan H/Q...

Yet another stunning Motorsport BNR33 GTR... Perfection!

Let's not forget the smaller cars, such as this Nismo Nissan March... I love it!

Beside the LeMan's GTR was this old race built Skyline, in Immaculate condition!

I don't know how long this display is on for, as Nissan change things on a regular basis, but if you find yourself in the Yokohama area, definitely take an hour to stop by and visit!
