A'PEX RX7...It begins...

I have been very busy recently, and also started making some plans for when im back in Japan, but in the evenings I managed to make some time for this...

It all started with this little box...

And some crazy instructions (90% in Japanese)...

In goes the Rear end, diff, suspension etc...

Finally, a rolling chassis, with exhaust too...

On goes the FD RX7 Shell, Vertex kit and Bride interior...

I have to say it was VERY rewarding and fun building. I have not had as much time to build a model or car etc recently, but maybe I will make more time now...Im thinking SIL-80 next.

Pro Drift in Paris...

Here is a quick video of the Pro Drift Ireland crew doing the drift demo at the Paris Tuning Show this weekend. Huge crowds turned out to see the drift show, approx 6,000 per demo - all seated easily 90mins before they even hit the arena!! Shane, Eric, Miguel, Frenchy and Deborah done a fantastic job and had each of the capacity audiences screaming for more. Roll on the start of the Drift season...

Sorry for not updating much over the last week or so, I have been VERY busy with things, and also was doing some night time shots, check them out below, I think they came out pretty well. Damn shooting at night is difficult, but I love a challenge!

Sunset Highway...

Today Hiroka sent me this short clip, its the sunset over the city on the way back to Kanagawa! Very beautiful, awww i miss Japan, can't wait to get back! (^_^)

Porsche...

Hankook Tyres have been bult this 600bhp Porsche 993 GT2 to compete in the USA drift series Formula D! This is BIG news for drifting, especially state side, and i cant wait to hear how the season goes for Hankook in their new car...check out more at www.Hankooktire.com

YashioFactory...

Well back to the car world and I thought I would post this...Okamura San's new Yashio Factory 350z! I believe Oka Chan is still driving the S15 Silvia in D1GP Street Legal drift series this year, so who knows when we will see the 350z in action, hopefully i can check it out on my next visit...

Strange weekend, 1 minute its PERFECT with warm sunshine, then the next day we have this...FOG!

Hey all, I was just on the Laptop looking through some old photos from Top Secret and Kazama Auto and so I decided to edit up a few. I was in a 'classic' and 'old' mood as the photos hold MANY memories for me, so I chose a cool Black and White effect! On the Top Secret photos I obviously couldn't leave out the 'gold' so I edited them to keep it. I think it looks pretty trick...more soon!

Rocky...

Well this weekend after a short drive, me and some friends decided to go see 'Rocky Balboa'. Usually i don't go to cinema so much, as its so damn expensive now, but I had to go see the final movie in the Rocky series. It was as good as all the rest, VERY powerful and emotional film for all Rocky Balboa fans. I definetly recommend it, I wont say much more to spoil it for you...GO WATCH IT!

Lancer Evo 4 update...

Here are some quick photos on the Lancer update. New Tein Coilover suspension, 17" Enkei alloy wheels from the Evo 8 Repainted in White with Yokohama Tyres. There are now new clear lenses up front to match the HID Headlights. Also added now are the Tein graphics in the rear quarter windows and Ralliart graphic in the rear window! More photos soon hopefully...

WOW...

I have seen some pretty crazy things in my time, but when i spotted this Toyota Soarer on Yahoo Auctions Japan i could't help but think WOW! I guess you could call it 'Bosozoku' style but its just plain CRAZY! Made me laugh though...

Tokyo Auto Salon 2007....

Well once again it was time was Japan's biggest Tuning show, and time to invade the Makuhari Messe, Chiba! Unfortunatly i didn't make it, but hey, always next year! Here are some photos courtesy of some friends on GTR club, who visited the show! Highlights of the show must be the new Top Secret demo car, a V12 Supra, Phoenix Power's R32 GTRs and too many more cars to list from drift, to drag, to circuit!

Well after watching the new JDM Insider Kanto Tuners dvd about 10 times, i can honestly say its one of the best. Its very well put together, great music sound track, superb subtitles and translation. The footage is superb. Touge, drift, circuit action, detailed interviews and shop reviews. Also the usual fun side of the JDM scene, funny out takes, skits, etc. Definetly worth buying.
