Tribute... 桑名正博

I don't usually post about Japanese music, mainly because I rarely, if ever, listen to it...but here goes! The main reason is usually it's terrible and not my style at all. But there's always 1 or 2 exceptions...Unfortunately one of Japan's finest has passed away recently...
Masahiro Kuwana (桑名正博) To me, he was one of the coolest, and most charismatic, charming singers I've came across here! Natually talented, and the charm, just watch this nice clip from the 70's...it's rare to see this in Japan's modern day culture!
R.I.P Kuwana-San!

HachiRock Festa 2012...Part 2

Following on from Part 1 of HachiRockFesta 2012, Let's look some more with some photos...

Plenty of RED AE86's this year, makes a change, and it ALWAYS looks good!

It really doesn't get much better than this... RUNNING FREE

Custom Garage SPEED brought a few demo cars along, Street legal one...

Oh, another RED, this one reminded my of my buddy Artin...

This style has been appearing recently...running low on Enkei's

Irish Spec?? in Japan...

CBY AE86 Levin, it just never gets old...

As does this TecArt's build...Perfect in every way!

It was good to see plenty of road cars, both for Drift, or Grip touge...

One of my favourites again, running Works and stunning Aero/Canards..

Impulse AE86 brought along a few Customer's demo cars...

THIS sums up the standard we are talking about... Amazing!

Plenty of nice wheels on show too, this was pushing it...Got dish?

This photo shows what HachiRock Festa is all about...

Another one of those many lineups... stunning cars!

It was great to see more simple road cars, this was so clean and tidy!

As was this, simple, original GTV Trueno on Watanabes...

Plenty of crazy builds were on show also, including this 4AGTE Turbo setup!

I loved it when at Fuji, but chatting to the owner made me appreciate even more..

Next to that, some more extreme, Orange 20v Trueno 2-door...

A really well finished build, so clean and tidy! How it should be...

The more I look back, I realise how many Trueno's were there, hmm..

Oops, another, but it wouldn't be a show without some Initial D...

And it wouldn't be Japan without the rare Black Limited edition...

The next best thing for me has to be a Black/Grey, running 20v swap...

This reminds me of my own '86, simple silver, but in Trueno form...

This one was running the rare HKS Supercharger add-on kit...

Lastly, one of my favourites of the show, the fully built Trueno...PERFECT!
