Impulse Car Service...

Having been following the progress of Impulse Car Service for quite some time now, and meeting up at Tokyo Auto Salon, it was then arranged to have a tour of the shop, and a quick meeting. Early start after relaxing days in Kyoto, and we made the trip to the Kobe countryside, following my usually pretty good directions. Short taxi ride from the station, and we were baffled, including the driver. We discussed, looked at maps, but still confused, It should be right here?!... After a quick call to the guys at Impulse, we realised we actually were there, but just had to walk around to the other side of the block haha, where we were greeted by Hiro waving and smiling! But thats not all we were greeted by. I knew Impulse before, and knew we would see alot of AE86's, but I was not expecting anything like this. AMAZING sight! I have to admit I did very little photography work this day, I struck up a deal with my buddy Ed instead. He done all the photos on the day while I talked and had a quick meeting with Hiro and Impulse, moreso because its a Japanese language only shop, with very VERY little English. I'll let the pics do the talking...
Huge lineup of AE86's, some for sale, some demo/customers...
Let's take a look inside the shop...VERY Impessive setup!
This is the sort of work Impulse do...FULL restoration/tuning!
You think all that's good, just look what's out the back!!

Impulse AE86 Panels...

Just a quick update with some news on the Impulse AE86 Rear Panel...

I know many of you AE86 readers will have already seen me posting on AE86 WORLD and other forums/websites, but I have neglected to keep things up to date on my own blog, due to being busy!

The Impulse Panels are taking shape and ready for ordering... check out the photos below...

Here is the launch brochure in both English and Japanese... So much effort has went into this R&D.

The Panel is 3-door hatch for now, but a 2-door version is developed and will be produced in future!

All the detail of the original Toyota Panel, including water run, clips, and bolt holes...with rear side support

Having been working VERY closely with Impulse AE86, I have managed to secure the ONLY Panel outside Japan... The quality is Top Class as you would expect!

If you are SERIOUSLY interested in pre-ordering, message me here or email: worldae86@gmail.com

Tokyo Auto Salon...Part 1

Rather than bore you all with a huge write up about TAS, I'll blog about it over a few parts, with a conclusion next time. For now I'll let the photos do the talking...As always, some stunning cars on show!

Zele brought out their fresh 370z and matching R35 GTR
Always something for everyone at the Tokyo Auto Salon...
Daigo Saito, D1GP 2008 Champion, and new '09 car...Mustang!
Yoshioka's D1 car now completed after last years debut...
ORC always bring out an impressive display and friendly stand...
One of my favourite cars...Orido Style/Varis built Aristo!
Again, a hugely impressive display and build by RE-Amemiya..
Outside the D1GP were tearing up the carpark, awsome show!
Nice to see some more AE86's this year...TRD N2 spec..
Overall favourite for me had to be the Impulse AE86...

HachiRock Festa 2012...Part 2

Following on from Part 1 of HachiRockFesta 2012, Let's look some more with some photos...

Plenty of RED AE86's this year, makes a change, and it ALWAYS looks good!

It really doesn't get much better than this... RUNNING FREE

Custom Garage SPEED brought a few demo cars along, Street legal one...

Oh, another RED, this one reminded my of my buddy Artin...

This style has been appearing recently...running low on Enkei's

Irish Spec?? in Japan...

CBY AE86 Levin, it just never gets old...

As does this TecArt's build...Perfect in every way!

It was good to see plenty of road cars, both for Drift, or Grip touge...

One of my favourites again, running Works and stunning Aero/Canards..

Impulse AE86 brought along a few Customer's demo cars...

THIS sums up the standard we are talking about... Amazing!

Plenty of nice wheels on show too, this was pushing it...Got dish?

This photo shows what HachiRock Festa is all about...

Another one of those many lineups... stunning cars!

It was great to see more simple road cars, this was so clean and tidy!

As was this, simple, original GTV Trueno on Watanabes...

Plenty of crazy builds were on show also, including this 4AGTE Turbo setup!

I loved it when at Fuji, but chatting to the owner made me appreciate even more..

Next to that, some more extreme, Orange 20v Trueno 2-door...

A really well finished build, so clean and tidy! How it should be...

The more I look back, I realise how many Trueno's were there, hmm..

Oops, another, but it wouldn't be a show without some Initial D...

And it wouldn't be Japan without the rare Black Limited edition...

The next best thing for me has to be a Black/Grey, running 20v swap...

This reminds me of my own '86, simple silver, but in Trueno form...

This one was running the rare HKS Supercharger add-on kit...

Lastly, one of my favourites of the show, the fully built Trueno...PERFECT!
